The room and hotel location however the hotel too expensive
The location of the Hotel was close to all of the attractions we wished to see in Venice.
We had a double room and the bed was two twin sized beds shoved togeather. I fell in the gap.
Sadly this Hotel is a shadow of what it used to be.Our room was in a nice position but was very tired.curtains not hanging properly table lamps not working properly, plug in hand basin would not hold water etc.We were paying nearly 400 Euros per night yet they would not provide breakfast giving as a reason the commission they paid you for booking the room.We have stayed here since the 1970,s,but will not stay again.
The location was excellent and staff was very helpful and supportive. The hotel is well maintained and charming. The room was well serviced. The hotel met all our expectations--beautiful premises in a charming part of Venice, well connected to visit near and somewhat distant sites of interest to tourists.
Yes, the wall was water stained. I informed the manager by a note and received no confirmation or follow up.
Our stay at this hotel was amazing from start to finish. We were given a stunning room with 2 balconies that we had requested and hoped for in advance for my Mums 60th Birthday trip. It was ready on our arrival at 11am even though we weren't due to check in til 3pm. The staff service continued to be outstanding throughout our stay. The food was fabulous with a great variety of choices at breakfast, even including prosecco chilled next to the juices that you could help yourself to! Everything was very clean and the location of this hotel was perfect as it was within an easy 5 minute walk of St Marks Square but was quieter than many of the other hotels in that area. There were gorgeous views over the grand canal from the bar and restaurant terraces. Don't bother packing many toiletries as you are provided with everything from conditioner to perfumed water in your bathroom! The consierge went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay and even told us about a complimentary boat provided to Murano where we had our own private tour of a family run glass blowing business! The restaurant staff also helped me surprise my Mum on her birthday by decorating the small table on the jetty with birthday decorations and even some roses. I could not fault anything except the fact we had to come home!
It cost 18 euros for 2 fantas in the bar - but it is Venice so not a suprise!
Its not the first time with the westin and regina in venice, the location is very nice and their breakfast is excellent and very clean rooms.
This time I didn't like the hotel as before first we took a grand canal room which was at all not as I expected as what I pay for, and it was in regina which I think is very old if we compare to Europa, it was very very small room yes with canal view but we where in the first floor and the restaurant under us which was very noisy and we didn't have anything complimentary in the first day even a bottle of water which they put in the last day. I was very disappointed.
Our room a lovely full Canal View on the 4th floor. Nice size room with ample space. Conseirge was wonderful with dinner suggestions and any questions we had. Would highly recommend this hotel and the location cannot be beat. Close to everything of interests.
Style, character and room views, position, comfort, easy access to sites and inner city, pleasant and helpful staff.
It is a hotel that charged a great deal with very little service. No WiFi despite many requests for them to look into this problem. A hotel that is trading on its location and feels very little for customers. I will never go back and I am telling all people that ask me about this hotel; that, it is not worth the money.
Personel rude, five star hotel discousting level of service in the reception desk
The location, bed comfort, size of room and bathroom, service
No complimentary wi fi in room
It was extremely close to the main attractions in Venice. Top quality 5 star hotel , little extras provided as you would expect from this type of hotel. We were both concerned about some comments made by previous visitors regarding staff issues, however these were unfounded in our experience.
As we were first time visitors to Venice we were disappointed that the hotels main entrance was very difficult to find as is hidden behind other builldings. Would have been advantageous for the hotel to inform guests prior to arrival that they should take a private river taxi direct to the hotel rather than use the public river taxi, which despite being cheaper, meant having to carry heavy luggage through the streets of venice.
The hotel is very good the location is excellent big rooms nice helpfull staff
excellent servcie, great view, clean and well furnitured
the only problem. Too small shower in the bathroom, not enough space!
The location is fine! The hotel rooms usually cost much more expensive, but now there was super price!
The breakfast seems to bee rather expensive
